Taylor Balbi once again has given us a teaser of the upcoming Zone 3. This time, it is the fearsome Frost Giant!
Holy crap! I didn’t expect something like this when I asked Grimby for another piece of artwork to show off as this Friday’s teaser. He definitely made it a good one! Check out the Frost Giant. For now, he’s about 3x the height of a Gremlin hehe subject to change though!

That’s right, the interim patch between Zone 2 and Zone 3 is here, giving us all some new goodies, balance tweaks, bug fixes, and new particles and tilesets to ogle before Christmas.
New Update is Live!

Hopefully none too serious, but please use the forum to report any issues so we can be as responsive as possible. Have fun everyone! Note: due to a format change, you’ll have to rebuild your buddy lists.

Well, hopefully anyway. Tomorrow morning we are planning to deploy the next Mythos update! It’s not the Zone 3 patch, but an interim patch with all kinds of goodies like guild support, hardcore mode, achievements, new level tilesets, and lots of bug fixes and polish. Expect the servers to come down, and some indeterminate time later, to return in full patch 2.5 splendor! There will not be a character wipe, but we’d love for you to try some new builds when you get a chance. See you there!

Taylor Balbi has given us another teaser of zone 3, once again talking about the ice drake.
Last time I showed you the ice Drake it was just a concept. To some, it was the coolest (pun intended) piece of Concept Art that I have showcased in my teasers. I personally LOVED it and it hasn’t changed. Quite possibly my favorite monster addition to Mythos Zone 3 that I have disclosed so far. It gets much more awesome.
I give you the finished Ice Drake in various poses. Jason Beck fired this bad boy at me yesterday and I have had it open since the moment it showed up. I especially love how the ice on his tail looks like it could be used as a weapon and can’t wait to see see him ingame!

This new Teaser is of the game’s new monster type, the “Treekin”…Borrowing a general stature of ents, but with a much more sadistic appearance, these seem like they may be one of the most fun monsters to fight in Zone 3…As Taylor puts it:

Hi all, Catalytst_27 here. With the current influx of goodies we’ve been having with DevChats, teasers and videos it’s easy to forget some people are still discovering Mythos. It seems Massive, an MMO dedicated site has recently done just that, and as a result I have here a new review for you to sink your teeth into.
It looks great, it performs well, and it scratches that Diablo itch like nothing else. So I suppose you could say that this is a hit, rather than a myth.
What on earth would possess someone to fill a baptismal font with blood and hang a sigil above it to imply that drinking from it would be good for you? But, sure, let’s say that’s just normal; who’d drink from it anyway, knowing that it’s GOT to be filled with slobber from dire wolves with glowing eyes?
The reviewer, Akela Talamasca details his first foray into Uld, using a large amount of screenshots and humor alike. He looks at all aspects of the game in what is a concise, but well put together review. Don’t take my word for it though, go out there and read it yourself !
